Niners should probably stay away.

The San Francisco 49ers are unfortunately one of those teams that has to add more than others around the NFL, and until guys on the defensive end of the football can stay healthy, there are going to be a lot of thoughts about how to fix some of those problems.

The easiest way is for the 49ers to go out and make a deal or two, which could include adding a cornerback. One player that continues to pop up is Kenny Moore II, a corner for the Indianapolis Colts who requested a trade but was also released in the early stages of May. While the fit makes a lot of sense, it was recently shut down by a 49ers insider.

โ€œI suppose it could happen, but I donโ€™t see the fit,โ€ Matt Maiocco said of Moore. โ€œHeโ€™s a nickel back. The 49ers have Upton Stout.

And if he shifts to safety, heโ€™d be learning a new full-time spot entering his 10th NFL season. โ€œIf I were the 49ers, Iโ€™d roll with Stout, Mustapha, Sigle and Brown. But if he wants to sign with no guarantees and fight for a roster spot, that would work.
