While there's certainly an argument that Judge isn't the greatest hitter ever, it's becoming almost difficult to argue that at times. On the flip side, there's definitely still a strong argument for guys like Barry Bonds, Alex Rodriguez, Albert Pujols, and many others. Regardless, Judge is incredible, and the fact that he even gets compared to guys like that shows how good he is on the field.
What's crazy to consider is that Judge definitely has an opportunity to surpass those guys in a couple of different ways. One of them was recently discussed by Sports Illustrated, as Judge has an opportunity to be the first player ever to hit 50 or more home runs in a season five times in his career. โThat's an insane number.
Judge is already tied with Ruth, Sosa and McGwire. Those are guys you want to be connected to when it comes to power numbers. Judge is certainly on pace to surpass them.
