Hojlund has had an up-and-down season with the Italians. He has scored 14 goals and provided seven assists in all competitions. Nonetheless, he has also gone on long stretches without scoring, and his goals have tended to come in clusters.
Performance versus Bologna Napoli blew a huge chance to secure Champions League football next season by losing out 2-3 at home to Bologna. The Dane was involved in both Napoli goals, though. For the first, he held the ball up well close to goal, but his pass was deflected.
Luckily, from a Napoli perspective, it bounced to Giovanni Di Lorenzo, who fired in. His involvement in the second goal was even more clear-cut, and he grabbed an assist. Hojlund once again showed strength in the box to hold off the Bologna defence and played a neat ball around the corner that was smartly finished by Alisson Santos.
