The Arizona Cardinals will face the Detroit Lions in 2026, but it won't happen in Week 2.

The Arizona Cardinals have not announced their 2026 regular-season schedule, and the full schedule will not be released until Thursday, but as some of the national television matchups are revealed throughout the week, we can eliminate some of the possible matchups for the Cardinals in different weeks. One recently announced game has the Detroit Lions on the road against the Buffalo Bills in Week 2 for the Bills' home opener at the brand-new Highmark Stadium in a Thursday night game. The Cardinals will face the Lions in 2026 at home.

It just won't happen in Week 2. The full schedule release will be Thursday at 8 p. m.
