Diggs was found not guilty of felony strangulation and misdemeanor assault and battery on May 5. The allegations against him likely played a role in his remaining unsigned. At this point in the offseason, he may not be able to find a lucrative deal and may have to settle for a short-term deal.

He posted a highlight reel on Instagram on May 6, accompanied by a caption outlining his stats and value. Countless Patriots fans commented on the post, telling him to return to New England. Some of his Patriots' teammates did the same.

Now, Kyle Williams, who was reported to be changing his number to No. 8, worn by Diggs last season, is reportedly sticking with No. 18, per ESPN's Mike Reiss.

Fans online think Williams' sticking with No. 18 means that Diggs is coming back. It does seem odd that Williams would back out of the number change.
