I've said for weeks that the Los Angeles Chargers ' best offseason signing was the hire of Mike McDaniel as their offensive coordinator.
Why? Because it gives Justin Herbert a coordinator who can get the best out of him, and when you have a quarterback as talented as Herbert, naturally, fireworks are expected. Also, because of McDaniel's track record with quarterbacks, you could argue that Herbert presents McDaniel with a player who could easily be an MVP winner if in the right system.
