Jeremiah Love announces plans for huge contract with the Cardinals
Jeremiah Love says he plans to use NIL money instead of money from his new contract.
Arizona Cardinals running back Jeremiah Love, who was the third overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, announced his plans for his huge contract. Love agreed to a four-year, nearly $54 million contract, and rather than doing what a lot of rookies normally do with their rookie salaries, buy expensive cars and houses, he had other plans in mind. Love plans to ensure he isn’t a cautionary tale.
He says he plans to live off the NIL money he received at Notre Dame. He called his contract with the Cardinals a “blessing. ” “I live in an era of NIL, so I’ve been pretty well off already,” Love said .
“So I really don’t need to touch that money as of right now, so I most definitely will not. I’ll make sure to put away that money for my grandkids, my kids, so they can have a better life, financially, than I did growing up. That’s the plan.
” Love’s father said that other schools had offered his son several seven-figure deals to leave Notre Dame. Neither he nor his father said how much he made at Notre Dame or what other schools offered him.
