It's time to vote for The News Leader's athlete of the week for May 4-9. This week we have five athletes representing five schools and three different sports. The News Leader staff, with input from coaches and fans, nominate the athletes.

Then, every Monday, we open the polls and let readers select the top athlete in The News Leader coverage area from the previous week. The poll remains open through Friday at 5 p. m.
