Ben McCollum inks contract extension with Iowa basketball
Iowa basketball officially announced that it has agreed to a contract extension with head coach Ben McCollum.
After a magical first season in which the Hawkeyes advanced to the Elite Eight for the first time in 39 years, Iowa basketball announced that it has inked head coach Ben McCollum to a contract extension through 2032. "This extension reflects not only our recent success, but the strong alignment we have with Coach McCollumโs vision for Iowa basketball,โ said Goetz. โThe culture he and his staff have developed, the way they represent our institution, and the connection created with the Hawkeye community have been incredibly meaningful.
โI have tremendous confidence in the direction we are headed under Benโs leadership. We are excited to continue that momentum and pursue even greater success together. โ With the 24 victories in his first season, McCollum joined Dr.
Tom Davis as the only first-year Hawkeye head coaches to win 20-plus games, qualify for the NCAA Tournament and advance to the Elite Eight. Here to stay. ๐ค Head coach Ben McCollum's contract has been extended through 2032!
