Auburn baseball's rolling as the postseason nears, winning another series over the weekend at Mississippi State. Here's where the Tigers rank.
AUBURN — At a point when it is pivotal to be playing at one's best, Auburn baseball finds itself a shining example of the mantra. The Tigers were back on the road over the weekend, facing then-No. 11 Mississippi State in a three-game set at Dudy Noble Field.
Ultimately, Auburn came home with a sixth consecutive series victory, and its first series win in Starkville since 2017. It saw the Tigers rise in the national rankings as well, coming in as high as fourth in any of the five major polls, and no lower than sixth. This week's USA TODAY Coaches Poll was the only listing that didn't see the Tigers get a bump in the rankings, as they held firm at sixth.
