After another exciting week of girls track and field, it's time to vote for the top performers

After another exciting week of the high school girls track and field season, it's time to look back on the best performances. Read about the players who stood out last week and let us know who you think should be the HSS North Jersey Performer of the Week in the poll at the bottom of this page. Voting closes at 5 p.

m. Thursday. Afua Anyadike, Bergen Tech The MIT bound senior had a spectacular double in the A division winning the shot put with a meet best 42-2 3/4 and then had her second 150 foot plus discus throw of the season, second best in the state and a divisional record.

Ciara Clinton, West Milford The senior capped her sensational Passaic County meet career with a terrific double in the 1,600 and 3,200 meters at the Passaic County championships, including setting a school record in the latter event with a 10:57. 06 clocking. Erika Gargano, Demarest The Cornell bound senior has battled injuries all year that threatened her final spring season but was terrific in winning the 400 hurdles and long jump and taking seconds in the 200 and triple jump to keep the Norsewomen in the meet.

Tori Hackett, Passaic Tech The sophomore had a spectacular first day at the Passaic County championships, winning the 400 hurdles and 400 on the track and in between breaking the Passaic County record in the javelin and taking the state lead with a throw of 140 feet. She also anchored the 4-x-400 relay win. Sophia Rasmussen, Westwood The senior has been under the radar all season but has been consistently spectacular, winning the C division 100 and 200 with impressive times and running great legs for the winning 4-x-100 relay and second place 4-x-400 relay teams.
