Another former Carolina Panther has signed a deal on Monday. Linebacker Jon Rhattigan was one of four players officially added by the Chicago Bears this afternoon. The 27-year-old defender was a member of the Panthers back in 2024.

That campaign was the first in Carolina for head coach Dave Canales, who brought Rhattigan over following their three years together in Seattle. The Seahawks signed the Naperville, Ill. native and Army Cadet as an undrafted free agent in the spring of 2021.

Rhattigan went on to appear in 16 of the Panthers' 17 games that season. He recorded all but one of his 370 snaps on special teams, and amassed 12 combined tackles. 2025 saw Rhattigan split his 13 outings between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Las Vegas Raiders.

He tallied six tackles. Offensive lineman Brandon Walton, another former Panther under Canales, also inked a new pact with a new team on Mondayโ€”joining the division rival Atlanta Falcons after a tryout at their rookie minicamp. Follow @ThePanthersWire on Twitter/X for more Panthers content.
