Yahoo Sports

A former Panthers offensive lineman is headed to his third NFC South squad.

Brandon Walton is now three-fourths of the way through the NFC South. According to Greg Auman of FOX Sports, the 28-year-old offensive lineman is signing with the Atlanta Falcons . Walton, who attended Atlanta's rookie minicamp this past weekend as a tryout player, spent the last two seasons as a member of the Carolina Panthers .

A Seminole, Fla. native and Florida Atlantic University product, Walton cracked into the NFL as an undrafted free agent for the Buffalo Bills in 2020. He'd go on to pick up a stop later that season with the Pittsburgh Steelers, then joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2021 to 2023.

Walton, who had ties with Panthers head coach Dave Canales from his one year as offensive coordinator in Tampa Bay, signed to Carolina's practice squad ahead of the 2024 campaign. The 6-foot-5, 300-pounder appeared in four games for the team through 2025, with his most featured outing coming in a 23-snap showing at right guard in this past year's Week 4 loss to the New England Patriots.
