Guess, Bedford capture titles at Monroe County Golf Championships

MONROE – Taleon Guess always looks calm on the golf course. But he says that is deceiving. “I always get nervous, but it’s a good kind of nerves,” he said.
Guess always seems to find the right kind of nerves for the Monroe County Championship. He shot a 2-under-par 70 at Carrington Golf Club to claim medalist honors and lead his team to a repeat championship.
“He just rises to the occasion,” Bedford coach Brad Reed said. “He likes playing in big matches. ” Guess gets geared up for the county meet.
‘These are guys I’ve played with for a long time,” he said. “It’s really something I look forward to. ” He had just two bogeys during his 18 holes Monday.
