IndyCar may have found mainstay with Grand Prix of Arlington returning in 2027: 'Bright future'
IndyCar's Grand Prix of Arlington will return to Texas for a second season after a successful inaugural race.
IndyCar's Grand Prix of Arlington will return to the streets of Arlington, Texas, for a second season, the event announced Monday. After holding the inaugural race, won by Andretti Global's Kyle Kirkwood , in March, IndyCar will race in Arlington again on March 21, 2027. Penske Entertainment, IndyCar's parent company, partnered with the Dallas Cowboys and REV Entertainment, the official events partners of the Texas Rangers , to bring the race to life for the first time in March.
The 14-turn, 2. 73-mile street course (which is the longest of the six street courses on IndyCar's 2026 slate) drew favorable reviews from drivers and teams , making a return inevitable. Just one day after this year's race, the event's official website allowed fans to sign up for updates regarding the future of the event and ticketing.
"From the sold-out grandstands to the incredible support from our fans, partners and the Arlington community, the response to the inaugural event was exceptional," said Bill Miller, president of the Grand Prix of Arlington. "Building on the momentum from this first year, 2027 will deliver more enhancements and memorable experiences for our guests.
