Over the weekend, the Los Angeles Dodgers showed that they can also run into rotation problems when injuries begin to pile up. The weekend shake-up even resulted in Blake Snell returning a game earlier than expected. It was a domino effect caused by Tyler Glasnow landing on the injured list after tweaking something during his last appearance .

“Glasnow exited Wednesday’s start against the Astros after one inning. He tweaked his lower back while warming up for the second frame. Glasnow downplayed the issue postgame, noting it’s a minor problem with which he has dealt throughout his career.

The Dodgers nevertheless opted to shelve him for a couple weeks to allow the issue to subside,” MLB Trade Rumors’ Anthony Franco wrote. The injuries also put stress on the bullpen over the weekend. Los Angeles used more than five innings from its bullpen on Friday and did the same again on Saturday night.
