Over the weekend, the Los Angeles Dodgers showed that they can also run into rotation problems when injuries begin to pile up. The weekend shake-up even resulted in Blake Snell returning a game earlier than expected. It was a domino effect caused by Tyler Glasnow landing on the injured list after tweaking something during his last appearance .
“Glasnow exited Wednesday’s start against the Astros after one inning. He tweaked his lower back while warming up for the second frame. Glasnow downplayed the issue postgame, noting it’s a minor problem with which he has dealt throughout his career.
The Dodgers nevertheless opted to shelve him for a couple weeks to allow the issue to subside,” MLB Trade Rumors’ Anthony Franco wrote. The injuries also put stress on the bullpen over the weekend.
