USC’s Jacob Cofie Invited to NBA Combine After Impressing in G League Combine
USC men’s basketball forward Jacob Cofie earned an invitation to the NBA Combine after impressing scouts at the G League Combine over the weekend. Cofie is one of five prospects to earn an invitation to the NBA Combine, alongside Rafael Castro, Bryce Hopkins, Trey Kaufman-Renn and Aaron Nkrumah. The NBA Combine is taking place this week until Sunday in Chicago.
Cofie is the only USC player that was invited to the combine this year. Early entry candidates can maintain NCAA eligibility if they withdraw from the draft by May 27. Arenas reportedly withdrew from the draft and will return to USC next season. Meanwhile, Dynes has yet to withdraw his name from the draft but did not earn an invitation to the G League Combine nor the NBA Combine.
Therefore, Dynes will likely withdraw his name and return to college basketball next season. Cofie averaged 9. 9 points, 6.
8 rebounds and 1. 9 assists while shooting career-highs from the field (51%) and from beyond the arc (31. 8%) last season with USC.
