Texas is trying to flip five-star Honor Fa’alave-Johnson from USC

An old friend is trying to flip one USC’s top class of 2027 commits. Lincoln Riley and the Trojans will look to hold him off

Back in March, USC landed a commitment from five-star athlete Honor Fa’alave-Johnson. Fa’alave-Johnson is the Trojans’ highest-ranked commit in their 2027 recruiting class that currently ranks in the top five in the country. But with signing day still nearly seven months away, will Fa’alave-Johnson remain locked in with the Trojans ?

Well, not if an old friend has his way. According to a report late last week, Steve Sarkisian and Texas are pushing hard to try and flip the five-star recruit from USC. ”According to Rivals recruiting analyst Adam Gorney, two Texas coaches visited the five-star this week, including [defensive coordinator] Will Muschamp,” Trey Luerssen of Longhorns Wire wrote .

“Another UT coach is scheduled to visit Fa'alave-Johnson next week. “It would be one of the biggest recruiting coups in Texas history, certainly in the [head coach] Steve Sarkisian era, if Texas was to pry the DB away from Southern Cal, whose defensive coordinator is former TCU coach and Texas analyst Gary Patterson. The Will Muschamp factor could be a big player in this developing story.
