Manchester United dismiss Diallo exit talk Manchester United have dismissed suggestions that Amad Diallo could be allowed to leave the club this summer. Diallo has been linked with a potential exit in the summer window, a suggestion that Manchester United have shut down. The Ivorian has started 25 league games this season and recently expressed his happiness with life under Michael Carrick.
It’s a sentiment Carrick has echoed. Discussing Diallo’s contribution last week, the interim boss said: “He’s done so many good things since I came back and the impact that he’s had on the team and his performances and what he gives the team, with the ball, without the ball, his energy, his attitude towards it. ” However, the 23-year-old has failed to match last season’s output.
He’s scored just twice in in the Premier League all season, and has not recorded a single goal or assist across his last 15 league games. A number of Premier League rivals are understood to be watching the winger’s situation, given the increased competition from Bryan Mbeumo’s arrival last summer. However, Teamtalk are reporting that United have full faith in Diallo to rediscover his best form and view him as a long-term part of the club’s plans.
