Would winning the DFB-Pokal erase the disappointment of Bayern Munich’s Champions League exit?
FC Bayern is going for the domestic double.

That is what makes this question so interesting. Bayern Munich’s Champions League exit to PSG left a sour taste for many fans because the competition remains the ultimate measuring stick for the club. Domestically, Bayern is expected to compete for every trophy every season.
Europe is where legacies are built. That is why crashing out before reaching the final felt like another missed opportunity for a squad loaded with world-class talent. Still, lifting the DFB-Pokal would not be meaningless.
Winning a domestic cup would give Bayern another trophy, help restore some confidence, and provide Vincent Kompany with tangible success in his first season. It could also help soften the blow of the European disappointment by proving that the team can still respond under pressure and finish strong. There is also something to be said for mentality.
