The sold-out event kicked off at 08:30 BST with the half marathon competitors setting off before the 10K runners this year to avoid running in warmer conditions. The new start time was part of several changes made by event organisers in response to feedback from last year's event.

Several city centre roads were closed for the race, which organisers say attracted some 25,000 competitors.
