During an appearance on The Colle ctive Podcast , Hawkins pointed directly to the versatility he brings to the field. “I think my versatility could really help um just, you know, by the knowledge and the things that I do, you know, either playing in the box, blitzing, playing in the deep end of the field, um getting interception, stuff like that, guarding tight ends or whatever. Um have a lot of experience of that.
” The Ravens have long valued defensive backs capable of handling multiple responsibilities, and Hawkins believes his experience covering tight ends, blitzing off the edge, playing in the box, and creating turnovers can immediately strengthen the secondary.
