Harter, Bakley honored with fundraiser in Humboldt
HUMBOLDT, S. D. (KELO) — The West Central Baseball Association and the Canaries hosted a fundraiser to honor Reed Harter and Chandler Bakley, two amateur baseball players who died in a crash on I-90 in January.
The day included a free youth mini camp, a silent auction, and an exhibition game between the Canaries and local amateur players. “Baseball is a small world, and I just felt obligated, honestly, that this event was already going on to kind of sister it with a memorial type setting,” event organizer Rob Lind said. Several dozen kids took part in the clinic.
