‘We wanted to do it for Hansi Flick’ – Pedri speaks out after Barcelona’s win over Real Madrid

The Barcelona boss sadly loss his father in the run-up to the crucial game, with a minute’s silence being held beforehand and the team wearing black armbands as a mark of respect.
The Catalans went on to win 2-0 to seal another league title, with Pedri dedicating the victory to Flick’s father afterwards. “We wanted to win it here, in a Clásico, and it’s now in history,” he told Movistar. “We played a very good match.
This has never been done before. It’s wonderful. Now it’s time to celebrate with family and fans because this isn’t something you achieve every day.
“We wanted to do it for Flick and for the loss he has suffered. It is also dedicated to his father. ” Pedri was named the MVP of the match after another stellar showing on what was an emotional night for Flick and the Barcelona family.
