The team has a new head coach in Klint Kubiak and a new quarterback in Fernando Mendoza. Also, star edge rusher Maxx Crosby is still on the team after being involved in trade rumors for months. As a result, there are definitely some things to be optimistic about.
However, the wide receiver room is definitely not one of those things. In fact, the Raiders might actually have the worst receiver group in the league. If the season started tomorrow, Tre Tucker, Jack Bech, and Jalen Nailor would be the top receivers.
That's not exactly exciting, and if Mendoza is going to reach his full potential, he's going to need better weapons. Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report recently suggested that the Raiders should trade for Joshua Palmer of the Buffalo Bills to help out the room. Palmer signed a three-year deal with the Bills ahead of the 2025 season, but his debut with the team didn't go as planned.
