Alabama's seed, regional opponents revealed for 2026 NCAA Tournament

Alabama softball has been revealed as the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament. Here is who the Crimson Tide play and when.

Revealed on Sunday night, Alabama softball is the No. 1 overall seed in the 2026 NCAA Tournament. As a result, Alabama will host the Tuscaloosa Regional this upcoming weekend, taking place from Friday, May 15 through Sunday, May 17.

Joining the Crimson Tide in the Tuscaloosa Regional will be USC Upstate, Belmont, and Southeastern Louisiana. Should the Crimson Tide advance, Alabama would then face whoever moves on from the Baton Rouge Regional. That regional features LSU, Virginia Tech, South Alabama, and Akron.

Alabama finished the regular season this past week with a runner-up finish in the SEC Tournament, falling in the title game to Texas. The Crimson Tide now enter the postseason with a 49-7 overall record (19-5 SEC). Alabama's first game in the Tuscaloosa Regional will come Friday, May 15 against USC Upstate.
