The Eagles made several major additions over the offseason, including edge rusher Jonathan Greenard and wide receivers Hollywood Brown, Dontayvion Wicks and rookie first-round pick Makai Lemon. However, one of the most important moves made by the Eagles wasn't bringing in a new player, but locking up a key contributor for the foreseeable future. Jordan Davis extension named Eagles' most underrated offseason move Locking up defensive tackle Jordan Davis on a three-year, $78 million extension was named Philadelphia's most underrated offseason move by Jeff Kerr of Sports Illustrated .

The Eagles drafted Davis in the first round (13th overall) back in 2022 and he has developed into an anchor on the defensive line for Philly. At 26 years old, he should still have a lot of productive play ahead of him. So, extending him was a smart move by Eagles general manager Howie Roseman.

"Davis was also one of the elite defensive tackles in the game last season. He ranked second amongst defensive tackles in total tackles (72) and secodn in batted passes (6). Davis was the first Eagles player in franchise history to earn NFC Defensive Player of the Week and NFC Special Teams Player of the Week honors in the same season," Kerr wrote.
