Vincent Kompany gave his players three days off to recover following the last strenuous weeks.
The preparation for the final Bundesliga matchday will begin on Wednesday. Sporting director Christoph Freund said that the team needed the downtime after such a grueling part of the season. The executive was not wrong.
“The past few weeks have been extremely intense, physically and mentally, with a lot of travel. Now we’ll take a short break and then we have our last league game at home, which we absolutely want to win. Then we’ll have full focus on Berlin,” said Freund.
Hopefully Bayern Munich can get fully rested and healthy as it looks to close the season in a strong way.
