The Kentucky Wildcats baseball team dropped their Sunday game against Florida, and lost another SEC series.

It has been a tough season for the Kentucky Wildcats baseball team. After a red hot start, conference play has proved difficult, and they have struggled to beat other SEC teams. They lost six straight series before finally taking two-of-three from the Tennessee Volunteers last weekend.

Unfortunately, this weekend's series against the Florida Gators didn't go as well. They blew a 6-1 lead in the late innings on Friday to lose 7-6. Then, they took a 4-2 victory on Saturday to even things up.

On Sunday, Florida's offense was too much, and Kentucky fell 9-6. The Wildcats scored first, but the Gators answered quickly, with three runs in the bottom of the first inning. Each team scored four in the fourth, but two runs in the seventh sealed it for Florida.

Kentucky had just six hits with Will Marcy's three-run homerun as the biggest. Jayce Tharnish had two hits and scored a run. Hudson Brown homered as well, and was on base twice.
