He was scratched from the starting lineup for their series finale against the Angels with a sore elbow. The timing is coincidental to Barger’s return from the 10-day injured list prior to the Jays’ May 9 game against the Angels. He was placed on the IL April 6, one day after he sprained his left ankle against the Chicago White Sox.

The Jays will go with Myles Straw in left field and Jesus Sanchez in right field for their series finale against Los Angeles.
