While the team has only seen two winning seasons during his tenure, Davis has increased the organization’s value with the move to Las Vegas. Moving to Las Vegas also gave Davis an opportunity to become a staple in Southern Nevada.
He became the owner of the WNBA’s Las Vegas Aces in 2021, and they have won three championships during his tenure. Helping Las Vegas become a sports city led to Mark Davis’s induction into the Nevada Business Hall of Fame last month. On Friday night, he was inducted into the Southern Nevada Sports Hall of Fame.
Davis was appreciative of the team around him that made all of this possible. “It’s not about me, it’s about we,” Davis said. “It’s a confirmation of all the things that we put together and all of the people who have worked so hard to get where we are today.
