Denver Broncos anticipate Bo Nix's return sometime in June.

When Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix was injured just before the AFC Championship game against the New England Patriots, it all but killed the Broncos' hopes of making the Super Bowl. Well, good news for Broncos fans. According to head coach Sean Payton, Nix is expected to return before the opening of training camp.

“There’s a good chance we see him in this offseason program in June,” Payton said. “We’re going to be the ones kind of holding back, if you will. ” Payton continued to say even if Nix doesn’t return in June, that he will be “clearly full speed” when fall camp opens.

According to Pro Football Talk , Nix had a second procedure on the ankle he broke in January’s playoff win in late April that Payton said “was not a surprise” to him or the team. He added that the team feels “real good” about where Nix is and expressed confidence that Nix will get some work in before the team’s offseason program ends. Nix was having an MVP-like season, throwing for over 4,000 yards and 40 touchdowns in leading the Broncos to the playoffs last year.
