Dana White hits back at Eddie Hearn after ‘clout chaser’ comment with explosive rant
Photo by Chris Unger/Zuffa LLC Dana White didn’t hold back after hearing Eddie Hearn’s latest comments, firing back with another heated response in what has become a growing rivalry. White had said earlier this week that he would be promoting the upcoming Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua fight, but both Hearn and Fury’s promoter Frank Warren were quick to dismiss those claims, saying there was no such agreement in place.
Hearn responded by calling White a ‘clout chaser’ and telling him to “find his balls,” which only added fuel to an already heated feud. Their ongoing exchange has even led some within the sport to suggest that a fight between them could actually happen. White’s response to Hearn was one for the books Photo by Kristina Bumphrey/Variety via Getty Images After UFC 328 in Newark, White was pressed on whether he’s actually promoting the show.
He gave a non-committal answer, telling IFL TV’s Colm McGuigan: “I don’t know, let’s see what happens. ” He also added: “Do I ever say s— that really isn’t true that doesn’t happen? ” And when McGuigan repeated Eddie Hearn and Frank Warren’s messaging, he replied: “Then it must not be true.
” But when Bloody Elbow asked him to respond directly to Hearn’s language, White didn’t hold back: “This fruit loop came out and said he’s the f—ing biggest fight in boxing while he has Bam Rodriguez and Anthony Joshua and all the other guys that are out there. “He’s the biggest fight in boxing? Those are his words, you know what a f—ing fruit loop you’ve got to be to say that?
Nobody knew who this guy was four months ago and now he’s the biggest fight in boxing? I hope I answered your question. ” Read more: Joshua Van drops Tatsuro Taira with devastating fifth-round KO at UFC 328 Chaos in the arena: Alexander Volkov walks away with win amid loud booing and outrage From scandal to statement: Sean Brady wipes the floor with Joaquin Buckley
