After a 4-2 series win over the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Flyers were dealt a difficult hand, playing the Hurricanes in the 2nd round.
The Hurricanes proved to be the far better team from the start. Expectations were not high in Round 2, nor were they in Round 1. They continued to beat the expectations.
