Social media reacts to Nebraska softball winning the Big Ten
Nebraska softball won its first conference tournament since 2022 and social media had a lot to say about the victory.
The Nebraska softball team defeated the UCLA Bruins 7-2 to win the Big Ten Tournament Championship . This is the Huskers' second Big Ten Tournament title and 11th conference tournament title overall. Nebraska (46-6) extends its winning streak to 21 games, the longest active streak in the country.
UCLA falls to 47-8. The Huskers also won the Big Ten regular-season title, the first conference title since 2014 and the first outright title since joining the Big Ten. The 23 regular-season wins tied for the most in conference history.
Jordy Frahm earned the win in the pitcher's circle. The Big Ten Pitcher of the Year had a complete game with five hits, two runs, and eight strikeouts. Frahm was named the Most Outstanding Player of the tournament.
Nebraska now waits to learn its path to a national championship. The 2026 NCAA Division I Softball Tournament selection show will be on ESPN2 on Sunday, May 10, starting at 6 p. m.
