Cast your vote for Monroe County Region Athlete of the Week May 4-10

The spring season started with a winning streak for softball. The first three winners of the Monroe County Region Athlete of the Week polls for the spring came from the softball diamond. Track and field has taken over the past three weeks starting with Luke Dulecki of New Boston Huron for April 13-19 followed by Iva Ravindra of Bedford April 20-26.

The April 27-May 3 winner is Lincoln Murbach of Erie Mason. More: Monroe County Region varsity high school sports roundup for May 7-8 He drew 4,066 votes to hold off Airport softball player Julia Dyson with 2,734. Mason’s Giuliana Nastale was third with 1,001.

A total of 10,734 votes were cast. Will softball and track continue to dominate or will baseball, tennis, soccer, golf or lacrosse step up this week. It’s all in the hands of the voters.

Polls are now open to crown the May 4-10 winner. Voting will continue through 11:59 p. m.
