Sofiane Boufal Compares Luis Enrique's PSG to Laurent Blanc's Era
Sofiane Boufal says Luis Enrique's PSG is comparable to Laurent Blanc's team. 'The current PSG just has more success in the Champions League.'
A finalist of the Champions League for the second consecutive year, Paris Saint-Germain is impressive. The work done by Luis Enrique is recognized worldwide. But for his part, the Le Havre player Sofiane Boufal has already seen the Parisians play such attractive soccer before.
Long criticized and even mocked under the Qatari era, PSG is no longer a laughingstock. For almost a year, the capital club has never been so praised. Compliments come from all over the world as the Parisians impress with their results and the content of their matches.
Luis Enrique has put in place a perfectly oiled collective that takes precedence over individuals. But to say that the Parisian team plays the most beautiful soccer in its history, Boufal would not go that far. The attacking midfielder, who notably played for Angers and Lille, remembers PSG as just as attractive under Laurent Blanc at the helm (2013-2016).
"I had the chance to play against Laurent Blanc's PSG back then. And for me, it is comparable to Luis Enrique's," the Le Havre player compared in an interview with Foot Mercato. "The current PSG just has more success in the Champions League.
