Steelers HC Mike McCarthy drops hilarious joke about QB Aaron Rodgers
Steelers head coach Mike McCarthy was asked about quarterback Aaron Rodgers on Saturday and he gave a perfect response.
The Pittsburgh Steelers wrapped up their rookie minicamp on Saturday. This was a great chance for the Steelers to get a look at the rookie class. Despite having three quarterbacks on the roster, rookie Drew Allar was the only one in attendance this weekend.
There was also a rumor circulating that another quarterback, Aaron Rodgers was in Pittsburgh over the weekend. However, Rodgers came out of the weekend with no contract, and when McCarthy was asked about it, hegave a pretty funny comeback about the Steelers quarterback trio turning into a quartet. "Three quarterbacks is normal, but four would be awesome," McCarthy said.
The Steelers next get together on May 18 for another round of Organized Team Activities (OTAs). These are still voluntary and so we don't expect to see Rogers to sign before them. Last offseason, Rodgers waited until mandatory workouts started and this offseason that is June 2.
