Charles 2-0. Tony Less was the tough-luck loser for St. Charles, allowing just two unearned runs on two hits in seven innings.
SOUTHEAST CONFERENCE —Caidence and Claire Frauenkron each went 3-for-4 as Class 1A, No. 2-ranked Houston scored three runs in the top of the seventh to slip past Southland 6-5. Claire Frauenkron drove in three runs, while Olivia Yohe drove in a pair for the Hurricanes.
NON-CONFERENCE —Kendra Rehder and Jenna Nelson each finished with three hits and combined for five RBIs in Goodhue's 9-3 win in the opening game of a doubleheader. Sydney Rye allowed four runs in seven innings to help Rushford-Peterson take the nightcap 5-4.
