Making a roster move on Friday, the Browns have added Elijah Chatman, a new defensive tackle, to their 90-man roster

Adding a new defensive tackle on Friday, the Cleveland Browns have claimed veteran Elijah Chatman off the waiver wire after he was waived by the New York Giants . Entering his third season out of SMU after going undrafted in the 2024 NFL Draft, Chatman appeared in all 17 games for the Giants a year ago and appeared in five as a rookie in 2024. Last year, Chatman recorded one sack and two tackles for loss for the Giants.

He now comes to Cleveland looking to make an impact and perhaps challenge for a spot on their 53-man roster. Looking at Chatman's pathway to making the Browns' roster While he has been a member of the Giants' active roster the last two seasons, Chatman has an uphill battle to make the final cut in Cleveland. The defensive tackle room is headlined by former top-five pick Mason Graham, sturdy veteran Maleik Collins, former second round pick Mike Hall Jr.

, and undrafted free agent standout from a year ago in Adin Huntington. The Browns also signed Kalia Davis in free agency this past Spring as well. However, never say never!
