Webb has made 156 consecutive starts for the Giants, dating back to 2021.

The San Francisco Giants are tied for the worst record in the National League (and second-worst mark in MLB) and now have to endure without their ace starting pitcher. Logan Webb was placed on the 15-day injured list with right knee bursitis, the team announced on Saturday. The move is retroactive to May 6, following Webb’s start against the San Diego Padres during which he lasted just four innings.

He allowed six runs and seven hits in the Giants’ 10-5 loss . After the game, Webb acknowledged that he’s been dealing with an issue in his right knee yet didn’t allow that to excuse his performance. “I’ve dealt with it for a little while, but it’s still no excuse,” he said, via MLB.
