Another Ravens free agent sounds like he wants to join Bengals
There's another AFC North free agent who likes what he sees from Joe Burrow and the Bengals.
The storylines linking the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals this offseason have been pretty interesting. Trey Hendrickson went and signed with those Ravens after the Bengals were apparently interested in a Maxx Crosby trade . Then there was DeAndre Hopkins wanting to play with Joe Burrow .
He’s a Ravens free agent who could always sign at a later date. How about one more link? Longtime veteran linebacker Kyle Van Noy, also a Ravens free agent, just went public with an admission that he, too, wouldn’t mind joining the Bengals .
During an appearance on Kay Adams’ show, Van Noy brought up the Bengals while getting asked about the AFC North. “I will say, I did enjoy, when I was at the Pro Bowl, getting to know Joe Burrow, just seeing how he locked in for a flag football game and the competitive side that he has and how he turns it on,” Van Noy said. There’s the Joe Burrow effect again.
Van Noy is 35 years old and just ranked 73rd on a list of 115 edge defenders at Pro Football Focus last year, to bring up one metric. The Bengals have been very open about wanting to add veteran linebackers to help the room with Demetrius Knight and Barrett Carter. Van Noy’s versatility would fit the 3-4 and multiple looks the defense seems to want to roll out next year, too.
