The ACC Pitcher of the Year had a one out double to put a runner on base. A ball on the infield, followed by Isa Torres’ first error of the year, allowed a run to score.
Virginia Tech held a 1-0 score going into the bottom of the inning. Facing Tech’s Emma Mazzarone, the Seminoles had Jaysoni Beachum walked, and was able to stand on third after a wild pitch. With two outs, Mazzarone got a strikeout to strand Beachum.

Two walks with two outs, but a soft line drive ended the inning before the Seminoles could score.
