Argyle blue-chip WR Julian Caldwell commits to Texas Tech football

The Texas Tech football program doesn't regard its first Big 12 championship and first College Football Playoff appearance as one-offs. It views those firsts as a launching point for more, and the Red Raiders ' recruiting class for 2027 is reflecting it. The Red Raiders on Saturday, May 9, picked up their fifth commitment from a national top-100 recruit when Argyle wide receiver Julian Caldwell announced for Tech.

Caldwell, listed at 6-foot and 185 pounds, was offered a scholarship by more than 40 schools, according to recruiting services, and ultimately chose Tech over Texas and Oregon.
