Unfortunately, this was preceded by news of Alphonso Davies picking up an injury and being ruled out for the rest of the season.
Speaking after the match, Bayern coach Vincent Kompany provided an update on the situation of the 25-year-old Canadian. “Physically, I’m not worried about him,” Kompany began (as captured by X account @iMiaSanMia ). “He’ll be back and everything will be fine.
But mentally, it’s extremely tough. These small injuries that keep coming back are difficult to deal with. We’ll see what happens regarding the World Cup.
