4-star WR Iveon Lewis commits to Kentucky over Georgia and other major programs
Will Stein continues to build momentum as Kentucky assembles a deep and balanced 2027 class across multiple positions.
Kentucky Football continues to build momentum in the 2027 recruiting cycle, adding its latest commitment in 4-star wide receiver Iveon Lewis, a 6-foot-2, 185-pound playmaker from Richmond, Virginia. On3โs Hayes Fawcett broke the news first . Lewis chose Kentucky over major programs that had offered scholarships, including Georgia, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Indiana, giving first-year head coach Will Stein and offensive coordinator Joe Sloan another key offensive weapon in the class.
Stein and his staff first offered Lewis back in February, and that early evaluation paid off as Kentucky secured another key offensive piece before his scheduled official visit on June 19. Rivals has Lewis ranked 238th overall, 36th among wide receivers, and fifth in the state of Virginia. Heโs now Kentuckyโs second-best commit in the class of 2027, trailing only quarterback Jake Nawrot, who is 60th overall and now has his big-time pass-catcher in the fold.
Here is what 247 Sports director of scouting Andrew Irving had to say about Lewis : -Powerful big-play receiver that can stress defenses vertically and horizontally. -Aces the eye-test with a sturdy 6-foot-2, 195-pound frame. -Rolls out the gate and can overwhelm defensive backs with his momentum.
-Makes impressive adjustments on tosses towards the boundary and will get large when tracking over the middle on in-breaking routes. -Tends to ignite after the catch and can shed tackles as he fights for yardage. -Can create easy separation by firing out of breaks, but top-end speed remains a work in progress as he embarks on senior season.
