They are 18-21 on the season, and have some massive issues they need to get fixed soon. Tarik Skubal is on the injured list, as are Gleyber Torres, Justin Verlander, and Casey Mize. Add in some struggling veterans and Framber Valdez's suspension, and there are plenty of short-term concerns for the Tigers right now.

However, there is reason for Tigers fans to have optimism. As Kerry Miller of Bleacher Report notes, the future of the organization is very bright thanks to four key players. Tigers' future is bright despite present concerns "On the whole, Detroit has been a considerable disappointment en route to its 18-21 start to the season," Miller writes.

"This 25-and-under club has been pretty swell, though. " That club of young players who will be the future of the franchise includes Riley Greene, who is performing like an All-Star once again, and Kevin McGonigle, who looks like a superstar already in his rookie season. Colt Keith has been great and is a promising player long-term for this team.
