One stat circulating social media helps emphasize that, and it came to light after Mitch Marner notched a hat trick on Friday night in his first season out of Toronto, playing now for the Vegas Golden Knights . He's only the second player drafted by the Maple Leafs to score a playoff hat trick in the salary cap era, according to Big Head Hockey. The other was Nazem Kadri.
