Washington softball ace Morgan Reimer named to All-Big Ten Second Team

•Yahoo Sports

The Washington Huskies' ace earned recognition from the Big Ten on Friday, finding her name on the all-conference Second Team.

Another year, another accolade for Washington Huskies pitcher Morgan Reimer. On Friday, the Canadian-born sophomore and ace of coach Heather Tarr's pitching staff, who was named D1 Softball's National Pitcher of the Week in late March, found her name on the All-Big Ten Second Team. After she was named to the NFCA All-Mountain Region Third Team, this is the first all-conference honor of her career.

Before some late-season struggles against the likes of top-ranked teams like Oregon and UCLA, Reimer was among the conference's best pitchers, to the point where some analysts believed she was in contention for Big Ten Player of the Year.
