After taking game one two nights ago, the Kitchener Rangers entered game two looking to take a 2-0 series lead with them to Barrie. The first period went the way of the visitors, with Brad Gardiner beating Christian Kirsch late in the first to give the Colts a lead heading into the break. It would be Gabe Chiarot that equalized just after the halfway point of the second, but Barrie had the lead back just over a minute later.
Ben Wilmott sent a gorgeous pass to a streaking Emil Hemming, who finished past Kirsch to give the visitors the lead right back. That 2-1 scoreline would hold through to the intermission, but not much after that. Cole Campbell's shorthanded tally just 28 seconds into the third tied the game at two, and as the seconds ticked by, it seemed like that scoreline would hold to overtime.
